Connecting with Plants & Herbal Tea Blending (Hands-On Workshop)
***Postponed 1 week due to inclement weather***
I’d love for you to join me in forming a deeper relationship with tea that goes beyond recipes and into connection. This evening, you’ll be introduced to or reminded of the foundations of tea blending, then guided into a sensory way of meeting plants through aroma, texture, flavor, and intuition. Many people discover in this process that there is far more happening in a cup of tea than they ever realized.
Working hands-on with a curated selection of my loose leaf herbs, you’ll create your own custom tea blend in a way that feels both grounded and creative. The experience is spacious and exploratory, and my intention is to offer you practical insight alongside a quieter, more personal and relational understanding of how plants communicate.
No prior herbal knowledge is needed. This workshop is designed to be accessible, calming, and confidence-building. Perfect for tea lovers, artists, and anyone curious about connecting with plants in a more intentional way. I’ll be there to answer any questions you may!
Each participant will leave with a custom tea blend they created and a renewed sense of trust in their own senses.
Tickets: $35
All materials included.

This is my, “I don’t know what I’m doing, but I know I’m supposed to do it, so here it is,” event. I want us to connect, genuinely. I want the people who see the world through artist’s eyes to have somewhere to go and sit and talk for a while. I want to create a space where anyone can come and feel accepted, meet likeminded people, and enjoy the lighter, whimsical side of life together. We get reminded all the time in the echo chamber that is the wellness industry that we have to feel and express our emotions. Well, yeah, and that includes joy.
There will be a menu (created and curated by me!) of botanical elixirs you can order from, and I’ll have a table set up with some of my herbal products if you care to peruse. We’ll also have free tarot readings, and we encourage you to bring your deck(s) too! Bring your sketchbooks, your poetry journals, your OCs, even maybe your acoustic guitar, your whatever it may be and share your creativity in a laid-back setting where we remember once again how to just… connect.
I hope you’ll come. The doors will be open, I’ll be there whether anyone shows up or not, ready to make some herbal mocktails, or botanical elixirs. Come in for a mana potion; stay for the creative community. And if you have any decor or trinkets or things you’d like to donate to these kinds of evenings, please email abby@mindfulwellnesscenteroftx.com because that would be absolutely appreciated and I’d probably give you a free hug!
Cacao Ceremony & Somatic Grief Release
Grief is not something we move past. In our experience, it’s something to move with. Like a rubber band stretch, it pulls us into the places that ache, yet it also propels us into growth and deeper aliveness. Together, in this ceremony, we will honor grief as a sacred passage that can soften, transform, and connect us.
Maggie Leverett, a full-time artist from New Orleans, will share her story of grief and healing through art—shaped by the loss of her sister and carried forward in her paintings and poetry. Her work will be on display, with originals and prints available for those who feel called to take a piece of her journey home.
Abby King Roberts, co-director of Mindful Wellness Center and founder of Bloom Apothecary, is someone whose path has been shaped by both personal loss and the everyday ache of impermanence. From losing beloved family members at a young age to the tender recognition of how quickly time passes as a mother, Abby has found grief to be one of life’s greatest teachers—a force that, when met with presence, returns her again and again to healing. Abby will lead the circle in a cacao ceremony, connecting with the spirit of Cacao.
Together, Abby and Maggie hold space for grief as a living thread. Painful, yes, but also a reminder that we are profoundly alive. Their hope is that this ceremony lightens the load we each carry and reminds us that even in the rawest stretches of life, we are not alone.
You are invited to come as you are, no matter the grief you carry, to sit with your own story of loss, to drink with the spirit of Cacao, to open your heart, to breathe into the body, to witness and be witnessed.
May we move through grief in reverence and collective support.
More about Maggie:
Maggie Leverett is a full-time artist from New Orleans, Louisiana—a city alive with art, music, and soul, and the birthplace of her passion for creativity, animals, and beauty. Growing up in such a vibrant and expressive place shaped the way Maggie sees the world and planted the seeds of her artistic journey.
Her life has also been profoundly shaped by grief. She lived through the upheaval of Hurricane Katrina and later endured the heartbreaking loss of her sister, Lacey. Maggie believes her sister’s spirit continues to walk with her, guiding her brush and infusing her artwork with a presence beyond this world. Through painting and poetry, Maggie channels memory, loss, and transformation, offering her work as both a sanctuary and a point of connection.
At this ceremony, Maggie will share her story of grief and healing—how art became not only survival, but also a way to honor love and carry her sister forward. Her artwork will be on display, with prints and originals available for those who feel called to take a piece of her journey home.
Maggie’s hope is that her story and art remind others that even in our darkest passages we are never truly alone. She believes that the deeper our capacity to feel in the depths of grief, the more it ignites a new aliveness within us — an aliveness both in us and around us that creates a more powerful connection with the world and with those who have passed on.

Monthly Sound Bath (September 2025)
We’re so excited to relaunch our monthly sound bath series in the newly refreshed group room at Mindful Wellness Center! Join Abby for an hour of grounding, restoration, and vibrational healing.
During this session, you’ll be immersed in the soothing tones of crystal bowls, supported by gentle aromatherapy, and invited to settle in with a cup of herbal tea. Sound baths are a simple yet powerful way to calm the nervous system, release stress, and reconnect with your inner stillness.
This gathering also falls in the middle of an eclipse cycle making it a potent time to pause, ground, and reset. Abby’s intention for this sound bath is to help you return to that deep inner sense of safety that can’t be taken away, no matter what’s happening around you.
Special Offer: Everyone who attends this sound bath will receive $5 off their ticket to the upcoming Cacao & Grief Ceremony on Sunday, September 21.
Come as you are. Leave feeling lighter, rooted, and restored.
